Wolves are second graders that meet in dens to earn the Wolf rank by completing the requirements detailed below.
Wolves move to the next Cub Scout level (Bears) at the end of second grade.
Requirements
The requirements and information necessary to earn the Wolf rank are included in the Wolf Cub Scout Handbook.
Complete each of the six required adventures:
Call of the Wild
Council Fire (Duty to Country)
Duty to God Footsteps
Howling at the Moon
Paws on the Path
Running With the Pack
In addition to the six required adventures listed above, complete at least one elective adventure of your den’s or family’s choosing.
With your parent, guardian, or other caring adult, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.
Earn the Cyber Chip award for your age. (The Cyber Chip requirement may be waived by your parent or guardian if you do not have access to the internet.)
For each adventure, the Wolf Scout must complete the requirements as outlined in the Wolf Handbook.
Electives
One elective is required to earn the Wolf rank, but Wolf Scouts can also complete any number of the remaining elective adventures of their den’s or family’s choosing.

The Wolf uniform is comprised of the following items available at your local Scout shop or online
Cub Scout Uniform Shirt with the Lake Erie Council patch and Pack numerals 1, 0, and 2
Cub Scout blue pants (see available options with this link)
Wolf Rank Neckerchief Slide (or other kind of slide)
Optional Wolf Rank Hat
Additionally, you may choose to purchase the Cub Scout six essentials and other camping / hiking gear (i.e. a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat) from any outdoor store.
