Webelos 1

What is “Webelos”?

“Webelos” is a special Scouting term created from the phrase “We‘ll Be Loyal Scouts.”

The Webelos rank is divided into two parts: Webelos I for Cub Scouts in the fourth grade, and Webelos II for Cub Scouts in the fifth grade.

The Webelos program is designed to pull together all of the experiences a Scout has had as a Tiger, Wolf, and Bear into a skill set that will be a strong foundation for Boy Scouts.

As with other ranks, new Webelos will first earn the Bobcat badge, then begin work on the required Adventures that are outlined in the handbook for their rank. Boys work on earning both the Webelos rank badge and the Arrow of Light, Cub Scouting’s highest honor.

Webelos I in Pack 102 meet once each month, September through May (except for December), with additional outings planned by the den leader.

Contact the pack to find out the den meeting schedule for the 2017-’18 Scouting year.
