About

Tigers are first graders that join with a parent or other caring adult partner. They meet in dens with their accompanying adult toward the Tiger badge which is accomplished by completing the requirements detailed below.

Tigers move to the next Cub Scout level (Wolves) at the end of first grade.

Requirements

The requirements and information necessary to earn the Tiger rank are included in the Tiger Cub Scout Handbook.

  1. Complete each of the six required adventures:

    • Games Tigers Play

    • My Tiger Jungle

    • Team Tiger

    • Tiger Bites

    • Tiger Circles: Duty to God

    • Tigers in the Wild

  2. In addition to the six required adventures, complete at least one elective adventure of your den’s or family’s choosing.

  3. With your parent, guardian, or other caring adult, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.

  4. Earn the Cyber Chip award for your age. (The Cyber Chip portion of this requirement may be waived by your parent or guardian if you do not have access to the internet.)

For each adventure, the Tiger and adult partner team must complete the requirements as outlined in the Tiger Handbook.

One elective is required to earn the Tiger rank, but Tiger Scouts can also complete any number of the remaining elective adventures of their den’s or family’s choosing.

The Tiger uniform is comprised of the following items available at your local Scout shop or online

Additionally, you may choose to purchase the Cub Scout six essentials and other camping / hiking gear (i.e. a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat) from any outdoor store.
