Veterans Day falls on a Saturday this year will be observed on Friday, Nov. 10. Pack 102 Cub Scouts are encouraged to wear their Class A uniforms to school that day. Falls-Lenox typically hosts a simple ceremony and invites Scouts in uniform to participate. Thank you to our veterans!
Service Project: Falls-Lenox Courtyard Cleanup
Tuesday, Nov. 7 / 4:30 p.m. (Election Day)
For this service project, Scouts will tidy up the courtyard at Falls-Lenox for the fall. Meet in the parking lot next to KidsFirst, at the northeast corner toward the back of the building. We will gather as a group before we head inside; the courtyard is accessible only through the interior of the building. Bring basic lawn tools and supplies, such as rakes, pruning shears, trowels, gloves, etc. Dress appropriately; Scouts will be getting dirty!

Cub Scout Pack 102 is invited to attend Olmsted Falls Boy Scout Troop 201’s Eagle Court of Honor. The troop will honor nine new Eagle Scouts, the highest possible rank in Scouting. Not so long ago, eight of these young men were Cub Scouts in Pack 102! A reception will follow this special event.
“Cubcake” Contest and Silent Auction Fundraiser

Who will take the cake at our annual Cubcake Contest and Auction? Find out at our pack meeting on Monday! Scouts and their adult helpers can bake and decorate six cupcakes to compete in eight categories: Best Scout Spirit, Coolest Design, Best Use of Color, Most Sprinkles, Most Original, Most Artistic, Most Delicious-Looking, and Judge’s Favorite. In addition, Scouts will vote for the “Most Awesome” cubcakes in each rank. After the winners are crowned, cubcakes will be auctioned off through a Silent Auction.
- Check-in is between 6:30 and 7 p.m. so that we can begin the meeting promptly at 7 p.m.
- Scouts must bring cupcakes in order to participate in the silent auction • Each Scout can win one auction item
- Each item has a minimum bid of $10
- Be sure to discuss a spending limit with your Scout
- Cash, PayPal, and checks made out to Pack 102 will be accepted

Find our more about Cub Scouts and Pack 102 at our annual Open House night. We’ll be there to answer your questions about the Cub Scout program and tell you about all of the adventures your son will have with Pack 102. Dues for new Scouts are $80, which gives your son membership in Cub Scouting through December 2018. Pack 102 provides the Cub Scouting program for boys in grades 1 through 5.

Get trained as a den leader/assistant den leader, a Cubmaster, an assistant Cubmaster, a committee member, or a charter organization representative. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; training is from 8:30 a.m. to noon. In addition, BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) training – which is camping training for Cub Scout leaders – is offered from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. and includes lunch. Bring a fishing pole and tackle box. • Western Trails Cub Hiking Excursion: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at Watershed Stewardship Center, 2277 W. Ridgewood Drive, Parma. Wear hiking boots or good sneakers.
